UMS Toastmaster first meeting (8 April 7.30pm to 10.00pm)

Keinginan untuk improve english membuatkan aku terpanggil untuk join UMS toastmaster..cetenye bermula begini:

what happened was in 2007 i attended the English course organized by registrar office, my self and a few of my colleagues (n9, mona, roslan, musnin, suhaizam, alna, ismet) were able to join the course. we have such a great teacher ms Yen from KL, she was able to inspire us until we formed a gobblers group to practice our English. one day datin had joined us and she came to the idea for us to activate UMS toastmaster club. the idea was to have a proper module for us to improve. we took it as a challenge and joined her to observe how was the toastmaster's meeting conducted in Damai.

This is what people said first impression is very important..i really fall in love of how the meeting was conducted. i still remember 2 of the speeches about 6 things to be happy:
(1) Think positive
(2) Be Grateful
(3) Learn to forgive and to forget
(4) have a healthy body
(5) Clear ur mind
(6) have a positive spirit

i said to myself..ok this is where i could transform myself to become more confident to speak English esp in front of the crowd. this is where i share a lot of things with others. i attended the charter meeting again for the 2nd time, our vc n wife (datin) were there too. that was the first time i was pointed to speak on table topic session. they said i did well, vc also quite impress. i dont know i just bambu kwang2.. i dont even remember what did i say on 'you will never find time for anything, if you want time you must make it' ..

on 8 April we were able to start our first meeting, it was such a great moment where i learn English and at the same time shared information and knowledge. we have a few guest from KK toastmaster club to join us and also became our grammarians, general evaluator, table topic evaluator and manual speech evaluator.

how i wish i could make my friends and colleagues understand and to be with us in the group so that we can improve ourselves together...

i talked about this 'you will never find time for anything, if you want time you must make it' during 2nd time attending the chatter meeting.. i found out, it was not only English.. but also the meaning of the wording i keep to myself .. 'IF WE WANT TIME WE MUST MAKE TIME'...

i dont care what people said .. i have already decided what i want .. i have already set my goal.. i just want to go for it..
